Apple is Considering Even More Affordability for the Next iPad 9.7

This year Apple surprised us with its affordable 7th gen. 32GB Apple iPad 9.7 after significant price cut to bring down at just $329. And now new report says Apple considering even more affordability for the new iPad model. As Digitimes claimed that Apple will cut the price further for its 8th gen Apple iPad Pro 9.7.

The reports in Digitimes also mentioned that we might see new 9.7-inch iPad in the 2nd quarter of 2018. The price for the new cheaper iPad model will be $259. While if this report turns out to be true then the cheapest model’s price would be $70 less than 2017’s 32GB model.

For the affordable 7th gen. iPad 9.7 model, Apple opted for cheaper non-laminated display as the price cut factor, since displays of tablet computer tend to bear major manufacturing cost as single component. While it’s already cleared after this year’s iPads releases that Apple tends to keep 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro Tablets as more advanced iPads. The models which continues to improve with every segment. According to report industry sources believes Apple might prefer Compel electronics to manufacture 2018 iPad 9.7.

However, it’s still unknown that if Apple will bring changes in the specs or components keeping that margin. While launch of new iPad Pro 10.5 is expected next year with TrueDepth Camera and new pen features.

Apple’s new tablets succeeded to achieve double-digit growth in last two quarters even in the fall of global tablet market. The sources also quoted that after this new aggressive pricing there would be a new wave of competition between Apple and its main rivals.
