Archos, a UK based mobile manufacturing company introduced its first Tablet with one of the largest screen size of the Tablet platform. The Archos tablet has been named as 133 Oxygen having 13.3-Inch screen size that could suit the family media consumption. The company announced the affordable largest sized device of its Oxygen family at IFA 2016 event.
Archos tablet have 13.3-inch IPS display which can run 4K Videos and 3D games. It packs 1.5GHz octa-core Rockchip RK3368 CPU compiled with PowerVR SGX6110 GPU on 2GB RAM. It will come with 64GB internal storage that could expand to 128GB via an external SD card. You could take pictures with 5 MegaPixel back camera,. While selfies and video link calls will be possible with 2 MegaPixel front facing camera.
The company has proposed this device for Family use as they said “It will become the must-have family companion this season. Family can sit down and play games, watch movies, share pictures or surf the web together.”
The large sized Archos tablet weighs 1170 gram, a heavier slate with extremely huge 10,000 mAh battery. However according to Archos, the battery will have only 5 hours playback battery time or standby time of 168 hours. It has 2 microSD USB ports, a micro HDMI port and a 3.5mm audio jack port. We can see dual speakers on front.
However, the company has no plan to launch it before November, 2016 and it will be available only in UK, or at least it will not be released internationally before next year. The price of the tablet in UK will be about £179 which is cheaper as compared to larger size.
Separately, Archos tablet with larger screen can really prove as an affordable family device. Tablet PCs always proved a good option for the family use due to a greater flexibility between mobile device and laptops.
