Lenovo is leading the Indian tablet market with significant chump. As according to CMR report, in third quarter of this year Lenovo grabbed 20.3% share in tablet market with 94 percent growth over previous quarter in terms of unit shipments. In contrary to Lenovo, Indian tablet market saw overall 4% slump.
According to reports education segment reigned as key behind the 3rd quarter growth of tablet PCs and was key for increase in B2B sales. While Government and corporate segment also adopted the Tablet PCs more over the period of time.
Lenovo’s Tab3 7 was the top seller to stand for 13% percent of market share in overall tablet market(in terms of unit shipments).
However, the company which captured second place is Acer with 16 percent market share. Android continued to stay on top as operating system for tablet with 92 percent share in tablet market.
According to Menka Kumari, an Analyst at CMR, demand for 4G in next quarters will significantly increase so in result may increase the demand for 4G Tablets as well.
