Nvidia Rolls out Software Upgrade 4.2 to Original Shield Tablet

Nvidia has started to roll out software upgrade 4.2 to its original Shield Tablet known as best ever gaming tablet released in July 2014. The update comes with usual bug fixes and several improvements to the software and user experience and includes the security patch for the month of June that K1 received earlier last month.

Now owners of the Shield Tablet will able to customize the navigation buttons by going into settings > Personalize Settings. The update also brings improvements in touch sensitivity across the board that will boast its touch responsiveness. Most importantly, SHIELD Tablet now meets the Android 6.0 Professional Audio requirements following the update to the younger version K1. According to Nvidia, this update has fixed the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and does own overall stability and additional security improvements.

However, the LTE version of SHIELD Tablet in US has not yet received this update. According to Nvidia, they are waiting for carrier approval to issue the update for the LTE model in US.

Nvidia always remained committed to bring android updates only a month after Google brings to its Nexus devices. SHIELD Tablet by Nvidia is the original model of the company’s first gaming tablet series and is the most famous tablet among pc gamers as well. It offers gamers a variety of ways to play games.
