Three months back, a Samsung tablet (likely to be dubbed as) Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) was spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website and appeared on WiFi Alliance (WFA) website after receiving Wi-Fi certification. Now Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is literally turning more true after listed on TENNA certification website under the model number SM-T385C, same model number which was spotted previously in the news. Although there is no confirmation regarding its official release but these listings are clues hinting that launch of this device is very near indeed.
First the TENNA website had just a few images published but later it also aired the device specifications on its website. The specs on TENNA website shows new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an 8-inch HD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, Adreno 308 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 16GB and 32GB internal storage options, a slot for microSD Card slot to add up to 256GB external storage, and 5000 mAh battery.
The successor of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 will be able to catch live moments with 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera combo. This time Galaxy Tab A 8 also includes a flash on the back and it will be running Android 7.0 Nougat with the latest Samsung UI on it. Slate will feature Wi-Fi a/b/g/n 2.4GHz to 5GHz and Wi-Fi Direct functionality to transfer files wirelessly.
